Critical to our work in education is the necessity to ground our practice in pedagogical approaches & research that exists and helps us to understand how to close achievement & well-being gaps centering scholarship from those communities. It is also important to contribute to both scholarship and more broadly with communities and the public to shift thinking and understanding towards the possibilities and potential for a new and different type of education that serves ALL students well. These articles represent some of the contributions I have been able to make either alongside other amazing practitioners and scholars. Those of us with positional power have a responsibility to use our access to help amplify the voices of those who are underserved and marginalized while maintaining excellent practices for all. We lift as we climb together.
